Stock Gifts

You and young entrepreneurs can both benefit when you choose to give to NFTE with a gift of appreciated securities.

Stock gifts can have significant advantages over cash gifts, including:

  • Avoidance of capital gains taxes on the appreciated portion of the stock.
  • A tax deduction equal to the full fair market value of the stock on the date of transfer.
  • The ability to make a larger gift than might be possible with cash.

Simply instruct your broker to transfer the appreciated securities to NFTE’s broker.  You will then receive appropriate documentation from NFTE documenting your gift as required.
