Responsibilities
Some of the projects our Intern will work on include:
- Donor cultivation and management – research, draft propososals, write thank you letters, and assist with special communication projects.
- Special events – assist with planning our events and represent NFTE NY Metro at external events, including Business Plan Competitions and networking events.
- Operations support with administative tasks including scheduling site visits, volunteer management and data entry.
- Office support as needed.
Qualifications
- Applicant should enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy work environment, and managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Raisers Edge a plus.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and in a group setting.
- Excellent organizational abilities, detail-oriented promptness and dependability.
- Able to work with a high degree of self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Minimum 16 hrs per week during business hours.
