The Program Intern helps NFTE in its strategy for forming partnerships with schools, universities and community-based organizations, create innovative experiential curricula, train and support teachers, and provide supportive alumni services.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of R&E to develop interview and focus group protocols.
  • Work with the Director of R&E to observe student and teacher work during Start Up Summer.
  • Transcribe recorded interviews and focus group discussions.
  • Create methods of organizing qualitative data.
  • Develop a final report (with assistance from the Director of R&E) presenting qualitative findings from Start Up Summer to NFTE stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Requirements

  • This position is from January - May 2012.
  • Reports to the VP, Programs and Director of Research and Evaluation.

Salary: Unpaid. Travel stipend available.
