“My illness makes me want to work harder. I just have to keep going.”

Bianca, who has suffered from sickle cell anemia since she was an infant, vowed early in life not to let her illness get her down. She studied hard, and in high school was elected vice president of the Future Business Leaders of America. Bianca has always wanted to own her own business, so when she found out about the NFTE class, she jumped at the opportunity. Her business plan, Mariah B’s Photography, is a wedding photography business that earned Bianca first place in her school’s business plan competition. She plans to attend the Community College of Philadelphia and go on to major in business at Temple University.
