"Our friendship bracelets have helped resolve disputes between friends."

Khadiga, Kauser, Sobia and Nazia are students at John Kelly Girls Technology College in London where they participate in the NFTE program. Ebay is the basis of their business, both as the source of their products, and as a distribution channel for their goods.

Using Ebay allows these students in the U.K. to buy in bulk friendship bracelets hand-made in Peru, and to sell them at their school in the U.K. Eventually they plan to sell online around the world from their own Ebay store. The girls also buy and sell other merchandise, including fluffy-top pens and key chains.

Their goals include “showing our parents and others that we can be successful and feeling financially independent,” they say. They also plan to donate some of their profit to the breast cancer fundraising appeal at their school.
