Zhou Yongdong, 17 – Business Plan
Magic Fashion Handmade Clothes Store
Shanghai, China

"My business plan was selected to be published in a magazine for young students here in China."

Zhou Yongdong was a participant in the NFTE BizCamp sponsored by the Bright China Institute in Shanghai in August 2006. His business plan for Magic Fashion Handmade Clothes Store was given the “Excellent Business Plan Award” at the BizCamp.

Yongdong’s business is a service, designing and painting customized cartoons, photos, and drawings onto customers’ clothes, caps and shoes. Similar businesses are popular among young people in the United States.

Yongdong is a student in the Environment Arts Department of the Shanghai Construction School. His instructor, Xu Benliang, says his business plan was well prepared and basesd on thorough market research. “He was born in a poor country family, and has led a tough life,” Xu says. “Despite those unhappy memories in childhood, he’s growing up as an optimistic, active, hard-working and strong-minded boy without any bad influence.”
