NFTE Dallas is housed within a building in across from Presbyterian Hospital at Walnut Hill and Rambler Road, and serves 2000 students at 25 schools in low-income sections of Dallas and Irving.
Interns will be charged with the successful completion of one of four tasks below. There will be opportunities to network with our Advisory Board, strategic partners and our large pool of volunteers from the business and entrepreneurship communities. Start dates are flexible. Positions are unpaid.
NFTE Dallas receives operating support from a mix of corporations, foundations, individuals and earned income. An Intern will be charged with assessing the landscape, and building a model and plan for reaching earned income targets. Currently NFTE’s earned income comes through curriculum sales and teacher professional development. Earned income is now only a small part of our revenue, and a significant impact could be achieved with this project.
NFTE Dallas is currently serving only a small fraction of its potential market. We are currently studying the potential for significant growth in our market. A winter associate will be charged with assessing the landscape, devising a growth strategy and working with subcommittees and NFTE Dallas leadership to advance the strategic growth plan by building on the fundamentals of our year one work.
NFTE Dallas is embarking on an ambitious plan to capture our impact on the students who participate in the NFTE program. An Intern will be charged with mapping a short-term and a long-range plan for our research initiatives, assessing costs, outreaching to partners and key stakeholders and planning the rollout of this project.
NFTE Dallas has served 800+ students since 2005 with our award-winning entrepreneurship education program. Until now, we have not had the resources to continue supporting students upon graduation from our program, but we are embarking on a pilot alumni program this spring. A winter associate will be charged with assessing the pilot and helping to build a long-term plan, assessing costs and outreaching to partners and key stakeholders to plan the rollout of this project.
