Congratulations to the Bright China Foundation (BCF) for their entrepreneurship project being chosen as the best charity project in China! More than 500,000 votes were cast in this people’s choice award from the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau and Capital Philanthropy Federation. A quarter of a billion viewers tuned in to watch the awards show, and Minister of the Civil Affairs Department, Beijing Mayor and Vice Mayor attended the event to express their appreciation.
Henry To, BCF’s CEO and Jennifer Zhao, Executive Vice General Secretary accepted the award, which they won over 43 other nominated charity projects, and shared some truly moving stories about the countless Chinese youth whose lives have been changed through NFTE. We couldn’t be more proud to partner with the great people at BCF to bring entrepreneurship education programs to young people in need across China.
NFTE has partnered with BCF since 2003, and we’re currently reaching more than 22,000 young people each year in areas from Beijing to the Sichuan province to Hong Kong.
