Congratulations to Hayley Hoverter, CEO of Sweet (dis)SOLVE from Los Angeles, CA, the winner of the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Hayley won $10,000 to advance her business or education goals from MasterCard, a $5,000 college scholarship from the Coleman Entrepreneurial Scholarship Program sponsored by GlobalHue, 2 tickets from Southwest Airlines and a fully loaded laptop from Samsung. Watch Hayley’s final round presentation that she made in front of the invited audience and our prestigious team of final-round judges. You can also watch the presentations of our second place winner, Shomari Patterson, CEO of Shamazzle’s Dazzles from Port Hueneme, CA and our third place winners, Anthony Defilippo and John Novas of Earth Custom Designs in Providence, RI. We are incredibly proud of all the young entrepreneurs who participated in the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge and shared their hard work with our judges. Here’s a little taste of their busy day of presentations. Finally, here’s your chance to see our keynote conversation between AOL Founder Steve Case and NFTE Alumna Zoë Damacela and, moderated by Amanda Ripley, Education contributor to The Atlantic. Thanks again to all our judges and to all those who came out to support our young entrepreneurs at the Challenge! We hope to see you again next year.
