A Volunteer’s Story

What’s it like to volunteer for NFTE and support the young student entrepreneurs? Jennifer Zarcone, an employee at NFTE supporter SAP, discovered the excitement of helping young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into business plans.

“I like being able to open up a new world to these kids. I live in New York City – all you see is shiny Manhattan and not the immigrants in Coney Island. As SAP we can open up a bigger world. I come from a small world too. I was the first person in my family to go to college. I didn’t know anyone who had. I didn’t have anyone show me different ways to succeed. I’m just happy to do that.”

Find out how Jennifer was first introduced to NFTE and the students she has worked with in this SAP Sustainability Report blog post about her volunteer work.
