It won’t just be cutting edge gadgets that you can’t live without being unveiled this week at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  Innovative start-ups and entrepreneurs are finally getting their own spotlight at the over-the-top annual gathering of new consumer technology.

“Entrepreneurship is a driving force in today’s economy, and exhibiting at CES is a great way for growing companies to gain recognition,” said Karen Chupka, SVP, events and conferences, CEA. “We are thrilled to see the overwhelming response from companies interested in exhibiting.”

Roughly 100 start-ups, budding entrepreneurs, and small companies have the opportunity to showcase their talents to the consumer electronics industry.  The focus on entrepreneurship at the 2012 CES is new and follows an announced collaboration with the Startup America Partnership

NFTE also partners with the Startup America Partnership.  In fact, NFTE Chicago alum, Northwestern University student and entrepreneur, Zoe Damacela, actually helped to launch the partnership at the White House in 2010.  Startup America functions as an independent nonprofit organization that helps young companies accelerate job growth in America.
