NFTE mourns loss of Los Angeles Board Member Doug McMillan

September 27, 2013  |  1 comment

Doug McMillan, who served on the NFTE Greater Los Angeles Advisory Board for six years, has sadly passed away this week. Doug was one of NFTE’s most vocal champions, believing deeply in the power of teaching entrepreneurship to children from low-income communities.

He was a constant presence and contributed in so many ways—visiting dozens of classrooms to share his story, coaching countless students on their business plans, serving as an ambassador for NFTE wherever he went, and always fun-loving and a joy to be around. He could fit in to any crowd, even while towering over us all.

NFTE Los Angeles will deeply miss Doug and everything he contributed to NFTE. If you wish to make a gift to NFTE in Doug’s honor, please click here.
