Sesame Street Teaches Financial Literacy

April 18, 2011  |  1 comment

As all of you already probably know, NFTE is proud to be an organization that teaches young people to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan for successful futures. But who says that you can’t begin this education with an even younger group of children? Sesame Street has recently released a series of videos, which you can view on their website, about teaching children the basics of financial literacy. In the video below you can watch this New York Times piece by Ron Lieber as he talks to Elmo from Sesame Street about the importance of money and how they are teaching young children about it on Sesame Street. Here at NFTE, we are glad to see that Sesame Street has taken on this mission to teach young children financial basics with the goal of providing them with a brighter and more successful future.
