Starting the New Year Right

December 21, 2011  |  0 comments

So we’re coming to the end of 2011 and I’m sure for many of you entrepreneurs out there you had your ups and downs this year. With all those highs and lows though comes a lot of good experience, and with that experience it’s time to prepare for the new year ahead.  Take some time, if you haven’t already, to start making a list of things you plan to do in 2012 and set some goals that you want to accomplish by this time next year. While making that list here are some things to think about so that the next year is the best one yet.

  • Aim High – Don’t hold back this year and really expect the best for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be successful so make sure you take advantage of all the opportunities in front of you.

  • Surround Yourself With Good – Through it all make sure you keep your chin up at all times. There will always be high points and low ones but you’ll only bounce back from the low ones if you stay positive. And if you find that you’re having trouble pulling out of your slump then turn to your supporters, they’re there to help you during those tough times.

  • Make Connections – Get out there! It’s always important as an entrepreneur to make connections every day. Whether it’s with new clients, vendors, or advisors, keep building that network. Sometimes it’s not what you know, but WHO you know.

  • Kick Up Your Heels – Every once and awhile just remember to relax a bit. If you’re always burning the candle at both ends it’s only a matter of time before you run out of steam. So always remember to take some time for yourself to recharge the batteries.
