Frequently Asked Questions

How can I start a NFTE program in my community?
NFTE partners with schools where at least 50% of students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. If you represent an established nonprofit/charitable organization, educational institution, community-based organization, or government agency that would like to offer the NFTE program, please contact us.
What does NFTE do?
NFTE activates the entrepreneurial mindset and builds startup skills in youth from under-resourced communities to ensure their success and create a more vibrant society. We train an expert Entrepreneurial Teacher Corps to deliver the NFTE curriculum and we provide a robust volunteer network of entrepreneurs and successful business people to support classroom activities and student business plan competitions.
How do NFTE programs work?

Please visit Our Programs to explore NFTE courses available. When a school or organization partners with NFTE, educators receive the benefits of the Entrepreneurial Teacher Corps.

Can anyone participate in a NFTE program?
Most NFTE programs are offered to students ages 11–18 through schools and community-based organizations. We also offer special online programs that are suitable for older learners: the World Series of Innovation is open to young people ages 13 through 24 and NFTE Career Relaunch is open to any adult interested in learning entrepreneurship essentials.
Where does funding for NFTE come from?
NFTE receives funding from partner schools as well as from corporations, foundations, and individuals who believe in our mission.
