NFTE at NCLA/ACTE Best Practices and Innovations Conference

Commissioner Aaron Demerson of the Texas Workforce Commission facilitated a thoughtful and passionate panel discussion with NFTE at the NCLA and the Association for Career and Technical Education Best Practices and Innovations Conference in Austin, TX. NFTE staff Jeannine Schloss and Trish McKeel were joined by Tomiko Lewis of the Dallas Independent School District to share the importance of entrepreneurship education in teaching valuable life skills to learners – important skills like teamwork, networking, problem-solving, financial literacy, self-confidence, and resilience. Now more than ever, these skills of entrepreneurship are vital for our learners and the future of work.
