On May 17th we celebrated not only the accomplishments of our talented students, but also the incredible teachers, volunteers and community partners who make NFTE Chicago Metro a success, at our Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge finals at UIC.

All the finalists did an amazing job, and our judges had a difficult choice to make.  The first place winner, receiving $2000, was Deandre Allen from Chi Tech, with "Profs Academy".  Second place of $1500 was awarded to Malachi Smith from Thornwood, with "Mini Me Figurines".   They will be representing Chicago at the NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in New York City on October 6, 2016.  Third place finisher Ethan Velez presented his  business, Spider Lines, with grace and style, taking home $750.

Congrats to all our finalists, and to our fast pitch competitors, who were all fantastic!
